Fifteen Froggies of my Own
In honour of getting a comment from Michael (aka: Gakuranman, who has some fantastic hikyo posts on his site) on my recent Haikyo – Starting Small entry I’ve decided to do a tribute to his latest blog post Fifteen Fantastic Froggie Fotos and post fifteen frog fotos of my own.
15 froggy points if you can guess which picture wasn’t taken in Japan!
In case anybody is wondering, the non-Japanese frog picture was the one of three frogs on a mossy rock (on the right hand side). They are residents of my parents pond back in the UK.
And lastly a bonus picture of a nice frog desert I had at the Ninja Resturant in Kyoto.
Dude, these are awesome shots! I have to ask – how did you find all these frogs (when and where did you look?) They seem to be all wild frogs, so that’s even cooler :).

I live in the middle of the rice fields in Shiga so most of these are my neighbours snapped at various times over the last year.
Few exceptions – the one on the coke machine was near Amanohashidate, the one to the right 0f coke frog was in the Lake Biwa museum (you can see the lense refection around his head which makes him look like a sci-fi pilot) and the one below the coke frog was in the greenhouse at Uji botanical garden (but I think he’d sneaked in unofficially).
